Since you decided that you'd rather rant and rave about how no-one's addressing your arguments than reply to the post earlier where I addressed your argument, here we go again.

Little kids also know that clocks don't stop because someone else is thinking, or go backwards by three seconds after you do something, or go backwards by thirty minutes after you've done exactly forty things. Advanced little kids might grasp the idea that chess clocks are not, in fact, a pure and vitally important illustration of the passage of time but are actually arbitrary devices that we use to make a game more fun by forcing players to trade off slower and safer decision making against the risk of losing if they run out of time.

I mean, hell, I don't care much for high speed games myself - I don't play faster than 5+3 and I generally don't bother premoving even for safe recaptures - but I've got the basic self-awareness to understand that that's because it's just not something I enjoy rather than making bizarre and increasingly hysterical claims that it's an AFFRONT TO THE CONCEPT OF TIME ITSELF and calling anyone who doesn't agree with that an idiot.
