@hendrixmaine Yeah, and as someone who has used chess engines going all the way back to Boris, I can tell you that a free engine will satisfy everything that 99% of chess players on Lichess could ever need or want. Unless you are a titled player or you are playing correspondence chess where engines are allowed [NOT Lichess] then you absolutely DO NOT ever need to spend a cent on an engine.

Interesting, I am assuming this is some update on current events, as -correct me if I am wrong- you (Lichess) already written an article talking about Fat Fritz and how it stole code from Stockfish. Either way, thanks for the new information!

@Vegemite_Fighter Honestly I don't see why even a titled player would want to spend money on a chess engine. Maybe GMs could see if Dragon adds anything to their prep but SF and Lc0 are more than enough imo.
