Fat Fritz 2 is a rip-off

@BornlessOne sorry, looks like lichess censored my response. Let’s just say that the stockfish discord is a sewer of bro culture, and the leela discord gets all the stuff that’s too vile for stockfish.
According to Wikipedia, "ChessBase GmbH is a German company that makes and sells chess software." Lmfao, "make" software. They sell Houdini 6 (Stockfish clone) for $120, Fat Fritz (LC0 clone) for $100, and Fat Fritz 2 (Stockfish clone) for $120. Funny thing is: 1) they don't tell you that all of these engines are clones of open source software freely available and 2) these clones are weaker than the originals, but they insist otherwise. On the page to buy Houdini 6, it literally says "Houdini the strongest chess program currently available on the market." Anyone who buys these engines is either tricked or stupid.
Sad to see. I always thought that Chessbase was a reputable company that sold good products however they really seem to have gone downhill over the last few years.
Thanks lichess, thats great inside info. I had actually considered buying Fat Fritz, so this is a huge money saver for me.
This is not the first time ChessBase has done this. Pathetic behaviour all around. Similarly they go around copystriking YT channels for no reason. If you talk to SF/Lc0 devs in the discord channel you'll see they are chill guys and like seeing their code reused, but to simply plagiarize the code and charge a exorbidant fee on it is shameful at worst and sue-able at best. I hope the SF devs will take CB to court for this.
