I really want to achieve top 500 in the upcoming 2023 summer marathon, the problem is I work and won't be able to play the full marathon most likely only a few hours max.
How can I still achieve my goal?
Thanks!

Answer me this first:
How do I get rich?
(I want to not invest much time and also I lack any skills necessary.)

Someone else bought up to think they’re entitled to something for nothing.

You won't anyway. 1700 is way too low even if you played 24 hours full. Just check out the top 500 placements from the last two summer marathons, they were all above 2000.

Yes they are, you'll have to go all-in and play 700+ games. Besides you're on a recent peak that might not be 100% accurate for your marathon performance.
At least your chance is not 0% like for the OP

Harsh words from cedur here, I'd describe the situation as following:
The top500 is usually a clash of very good players (rated between 2000-3000+) who are playing many hours to make it into the list.
The main-problem you face is that this rating difference is also a skill difference. And as you might notice, not only do they get tired but so do you while the tournament goes on. What's more, even if you were completely fresh in mind and they played for about half a day (they might even be more dangerous then bc they are already in the mood and won't make a big deal of a single match, especially against someone much lower rated) they still own a tremendously plus in bare skill. They might be even able to compensate a few 100 rating points they loose mentally by becoming tired just by skill and knowledge.
Subsequently they will outperform most lower rated players.
Now considering you're not even able to play through the whole tourney, I'd say your goal is yet not achievable, you might get close tho when outperforming everybody on your level though.

Hello ! first of all, having this kind of goal is a great thing! surpass yourself and give the best of yourself! nevertheless i must tell you than in reality, it is almost impossible to reach the top 500 by playing a few hours, and I tell you that from my own experience. if you want to approach this top 500, here are some tips: come on for the traps, a successful trap in a few moves is points earned! nevertheless be sure of yourself and of the traps you intend to play. be focused and get up quickly from a defeat! a Victory streak is always nice, but a losing streak is always sad. play fast, and know that if you want your top 500, the aesthetics of the game are to be avoided, be EFFICIENT! Berserk back if you have the skills (and the speed with it!), accept the draws offered to you if the opponent is stronger, but if it's a bluff and you can win, go for the win! run towards your goal, no matter the obstacles, and have a good mood, and the smile! that's the spirit of the marathon!
