What is the quickest way to checkmate the opposing player by making a d, e, or f pawn move, then only moving the king afterwards? Of course, both sides would have to work together to accomplish it.
I forgot to mention: The side that is only moving their king is trying to checkmate, which is only possible by a discovered check, if I'm correct.
Guess there are many #5.
One I have found; by the way, chessplayers need a lot of fantasy. Not few here lack fantasy, I just remember those „insufficient material“ issues...

Sarg0n, you cheated by moving more than 1 pawn at the very beginning. Your third move is illegal since you moved a pawn instead of only moving your king like the challenge asked.
Is this what u wanted?
Well, I understood that only one side moves one pawn and king.

Edit: 11 plies (5.5 moves)
@Sarg0n I just had your#7 as a captcha !
11 piles with 2 pawn moves for white (d and f) and 1 for black (f). I don't think this is possible with less pawn moves if only pawn and king moves are allowed.
From #1 and #2 it is the side with one pawn move and then nothing but king moves that must deliver the checkmate. Here are 2 solutions in 16 plies
