Focus on rest, sleep, and good food to optimize your mental state

Be patient during your games, and use all your time

Best of luck

Hi, a few things that helped my IRL tournaments

  • avoid listening to catchy music, it‘s hard to concentrate if you continuously sing lyrics in your head :)
  • watch other games when you calculated everything; get moving and reset your brain for a moment
  • avoid overthinking every detail in the very early stages of the games so you dodge the time scramble I always find myself in :)
  • play a few tactics before your games (warm-up)
  • have water and food ready + male sure that your not noisy while opening your stuff (avoid fizzels, scrunches etc.)
  • always go quickly through candidate moves
  • have fun! You‘ll find new friends, ideas for your chess and have a great time
Best of luck m8 u got this

Here's my last game that I played against a hundred rated lower player than me , I was lost they played great I was totally outplayed until the end , I held on with literally nothing. Is your king safe is the first question you ask yourself on every move xxx
