Sure, black can play 3 Nf3 d5, but that is not a refutation.
Fischer's 3...d6 and 4...g5 is much more critical.
The Fischer-Minic game is with 3 Bc4 Ne7. Here is another one by Polgar

@tpr I meant from the practical point of state. I know this is the best variation. But like you say, why would you learn 30 moves of theory?

@LuckIsNoSkill to win maybe
I don't think there is a refutation... Its one of soundest gambits.

LMAO. @HawaiiBlue Kings Indian isnt the critical opening. Black can get easily good game. Other openings are far more critical.

@HawaiiBlue , no one wins with the king's gambit unless their opponent makes a serious mistake. It is a very suboptimal line. I can understand the thrill, but I could never bear to play something like that.
Cheers to those with the aggressive and adventuresome chess personality that gives them the strength to win somehow!
It's really incredible how some players manage to put others in a position where it's sooooooooooooooo easy to mess up.

Fischer claimed to have refuted 3 Nf3 see link above.
AlphaZero played 1000 games against itself: 63 white wins, 703 draws, 234 black wins
See figure 4d

To be honest stockfish playing against itself doesnt give us any knowledge, stockfish can play this opening with both colors 1000 times against Magnus and it will probably win all 1000 games.

AlphaZero against itself with more black wins than white wins indicates that the gambit is doubtful.
Normally the number of draws is higher and the number of black wins is inferior to the number of white wins.
If you claim 3 Nf3 is better than 3 Bc4 contrary to Fischer, Ivanchuk, Polgar, Short, then the onus of proof is on you to at least present a white improvement over Fischer's refutation 3 Nf3 d6 and 4...g5.
