Thoughts on 12. Nf7? It's a winning game either way. Just curious about the after effects.
It is a known trap I saw it in a youtube video. Unfortunately nobody plays Bg4.
Traps like this exist in many openings, for example Italian (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 d6 4.Nc3 Bg4 5.h3 Bh5? 6.Nxe5) or Queens Gambit (1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.cxd5 exd5 5.Bg5 Nbd7 6.Nxd5? Nxd5 7.Bxd8 Bb4+). Some of them have names but i cant remember.
Why not save the knight on move 12 ?
@ambrookAfter Nf7 and h6 the king comes round to pick it up...Nxg6 was probably best to gain a pawn compensation but I was moving fast and missed it
Then take on g6 with the knight.. Might as well gain a pawn while giving up the piece.
@DocJekyll
Thats what I just said...
