Maybe you should try the Sicilian Kan...I have never played any Sicilian but from what I've read about it, there seems to be not a lot of theory (rote-like memory work) involved in playing it...Johan Hellsten wrote an interesting book about this opening (Play the Sicilian Kan)

There's rarely a perfect solution to any problem. It usually involves trade-offs (if I do this I gain this over here but I give up that over there).

People seem to get to bent out of shape over their chess...Just have fun and enjoy the chess journey.

From my experience playing chess can tell you a lot about your own short-comings and that makes it valuable.

You can try e6 sicilian! Kan or Taimanov. Chessbrah have a Taimanov speedrun sreies, I think it's great.

I prefer the Kan sicilian. Here is a fantastic study:

I often found that as long as you don't push the d pawn, and don't castle, it's actually safe to keep your king in the center. you can play h5to start an attack while your king is safe. Beside, you don't have to castle queen side to waste the tempo.

Plus ,the bishops are more powerful than the Scheveingen kinds of set up, which is very passive.

The drawbacks are that due to the dark square sometimes don't have to be in e7, some times the kingside feels a little bit weak when you castle. But usually you don't have to castle, again, especially in blitz game.

I even feel anxiety on why can't I find such a great opening against d4. Most other openings you don't gain an chance to attack while don't take much risks.
