Leinier Dominguez was just eliminated in the World Cup by Fabiano Caruana. I think the Cuban grandmaster deserved a better result, since he had a big advantage in the first game. Anyway, his style generates great controversy. Some claim he is a "drawish" player, others admire his strategic management. GM Leinier Dominguez is a very solid player. He has beaten several chess players in the world elite. He may require more weapons in the opening to get an early advantage in his games. In the interview he also acknowledges that needs to better manage his reflection time.
