Why did you get into forums? Whats the reason behind it? Im asking this question to all the famous forums poster such as @CSKA_Moscou, @Oportunist, @Rainbow_Pink_Lover, @Dukedog, @JASKIRATSINGH, @clousems, @Noflaps, @TPT2010, @HailstormChessPlayer, @FreeBeast219, @ew_pawn and @AsDaGo

so i’m using lichess 5 years but i discovered this forums section 6 months ago i was enjoying reading threads and posts but i wanted to share my thoughts so here i am :)

PS: i am ENFJ type @CSKA_Moscou shared his so i wanted edit mine :)

In 2021-22, I posted a few unimportant messages in general chess discussion and then stopped. I think I started seriously again in May 2023, and since I was a little older, I felt ready to write in the off topic and then I found it amusing so I continued. As I have an ENFP personality, I write a lot and I like interaction

i saw forums in lichess.didnt even know what forum was.when i openend it i saw there is an off topic section.so i opened that up and saw bunch of topics and people sharing their messages abaut them.it was interesting.some of the posts were really funny.i gave it a try to also post stuff.after a while it became an activity for me.i met new interesting people and its also good practice for my English.I dont speak english in my daily life.Reading posts here and writing posts here is good for me not forgetting English.
More than that i am happy i got to know some people here who became very special for me.

I actually didn't know how to social at all in both offline and online. So my sis suggested me that I could try out forums to atleast be a little social and to find out new information and all. In conclusion, forums did help me become a little bit social.

I honestly don't know when I started posting. In fairness, though, I've been registered on this site for 10 years and used it anonymously before then.

If I recall correctly, it was either boredom or painkillers.
