When a protest goes too far...

Not exactly "nice" but "pretty decent guy"... it doesn't matter. The fact is that most people condemning these symbolic agressions would not if the subject is evil enough, which is highly subjective.

Yeah, that's because media have a huge bias (and above paragraph applies) and media owners are not exactly Marx fans. Sadly, this is also true for other news and stories, far more important.

I like cats :)

But is it right to deface Balfour who tried to help? Even if he did a really bad job of helping? And even if it is right - does it help the cause?

I think media is biased both ways. Take for example the current war - it talks about both Palestine and Israel, and depending on what you look at you can find a right leaning source or a left-leaning source.

A quick Google search on the war almost always leads me to something from the Palestinian side as well as the Israel side.

Not the same. If you need further proof, we all knew about the Balfour painting but until today we (including me, lol) didn't know Marx tomb was attacked twice.

Sure, we can find the information, but only because manipulation is no longer dependent of concealing it. They found better ways, and pretending to be "balanced" plays a vital role. It is a fascinating and disgusting subject.

Lol, I didn't mean that Marx is supposed to be covered the same as a war - news are designed to get views.

On bias, I was talking about Palestinian bias vs Israel bias.

I don't know if your search engine and mine work different. When I search up October 7, the first video I get is an Al Jazeera denial of the attacks. So clearly this information isn't hard to find if it's been put on the front page.

After reading your latest reply, one thing is sure to me, that is if you're not completely hypocritical then you're indeed quite the opposite of smart. You managed to not get (or to pretend not to get) one single of my points right, and consequently not to answer to them.

In one case as in the other, I won't keep wasting my time in this thread.
the bias in the mainstream press has clearly been in favor of Israel. That is changing, with incidents like the New York Times withdrawing it's mass assault story, but the government and the main media outlets have clearly been putting out Israeli propaganda. More diffiicult to do in light of the ICJ findings, the exposure of numerous lies, and the latest food aid and torture atrocities.
