My rule would be "Rook castling". If both of your rooks are on their home rank, you can "rook castle" by exchanging the locations of both rooks at the same time.
So if you have rooks on a1 and h1, you move the a1 rook to h1 and the h1 rook to a1 - at the same time.

You could make the same objection to rotating tires on an automobile. But it helps the tires wear evenly - the rooks also wear more evenly.

my rule would be that before and after every game, you and youre opponent have to shout out a praise to horsie, otherwise, they will automatically forfeit the game, even if they won.

Make the Queen also move like a Knight. So have a Queen be the combined powers of a Knight + Bishop + Rook. That would be pretty cool. Unbalanced as hell, but cool.
Might make for a good April fools joke. To make the Queen gain Horsey powers for a day. @thibault
