I see "ofc" a lot. Is it intended to mean "of course" ?

Every time I see it, thoughts like "only fried chicken" or "old for childbirth" race through my mind, unbidden.

Indeed, now that I think about it, I think i'll start a forum topic to teach myself the meaning of the various popular abbreviations that leave me feeling still more pathetic and unknowing.
