I like english because it was my first language, however it's a really weird language. I once heard someone describe it as having more exceptions than rules.
Anyone know a language that is both very efficient to speak and simple to learn? AKA, the objectively best language

To begin with, Latin fits all the descriptions. Normally in English, the shortest sentences have two words, but in Latin, one word is necessary. For example, occupo means I seize in Latin.

I think that would be Esperanto. A logically constructed language with an extremely regular grammer
The idea behind it was that most conflict is caused by an inabilityto communicate and it was hoped this would facilitate understanding between nations.
Unfortunately the language never really took off having only 2 million speakers today.

Obviously subjective. The "best" language is the one that you AND the people around you understand.

language of love
Indonesian is incredibly simple. You basically have no tenses (you just use words like "tomorrow, yesterday, etc with the base forms of verbs), the plural form is created by repeating a word twice, the list goes on. I was able to communicate with it somewhat fluently after 3 months
