That certainly is inane. I myself personally try to avoid repetition and tautology whenever possible or I can, pleonasmic or not.

@obladie It would be pointless to discuss if we see no reason too.
Let me rephrase and say what I spoke in another way.
It would be so completely useless to talk about something so futile, and absolutely ineffectual, that both me and you will find it meaningless. So to continue to go on debating in a discussion, that would be unavailing and serve no purpose.

@obladie I never heard about that book, this is the first time someone recommended it to me.
But I think he also made a book, which he wrote independently by himself. And as the only author, he was unaccompanied by others.
I can't remember the name of the book, because I forgot the title.
