This post was about phone/tablet users, not being matched with people on a computer.
I have had a change of heart, After looking at how much prices are.
No one in the future very near future is going to have a computer.
I am sorry, Users with phones or tables. I beg your forgiveness and hope you will accept my deep regrets over the way I had previously viewed you.

the way capitalism works is that as long as someone wants something - any good or service, and the seller can and is willing to supply that demand for something at a price point the buyer can consider it at, then the buyer has the potiental to purchase it. that's the free market in a nutshell. some suppliers are willing to take on the risk of going out of business for the opportunity of it catching on, with large profit margins too i might add. not all businesses succeed though, where the point is to make money. also, government regulations and legal matters, like taxes, must be taken into account too - assuming nothing too out-of-the-ordinary.
i'm curious though - why do you think no one in the near future is going to have a computer? is there no money in computers; hence people would rather spend it on other things, or will they stop producing computers to sell because of other market conditions? what do you forsee, exactly? alot of people still want computers, even if at higher prices, i'd think.

Why do you think no one in the future will have a computer? Is it because phones and tablets are trending?
I used to think they weren't needed earlier kinda, but now, every single person has a phone, tab, and earpods. Talk about changing trends. considering how fast trends change, like every single year they do, I've a feeling even phones and tablets are gonna get out of trend after a while, replaced by another device.

@animal_lover_64 Yes that is correct. It most likely will happen. Maybe virtual reality? Brain implants?
My post was some-what humor. The prices for ram, solid state drives have recently gone up. There is actually no limit of people willing to pay more.
It's very unlikely people will ever seriously get priced out of owning a home computer.
@Approximation I'm sure you see I meant it as a joke about the prices being bad.

There is money I'm sure. Cost of living has gone up, Some people may be forced to do without latest fancy computer components. Will it get worse? Is anyone's guess.
I have heard people claiming cloud computing will be the future. Just recently a major company (micron) Crucial. Has stated that it will be exiting the consumer market - To focus on data centers and AI.
I think it's likely computers the internet in general will be made so bleak and thoroughly unenjoyable that we consumers will just get bored of it - Start learning to do folk dances or going to medieval fairs.
Though I could be wrong.
