‘i feel like i should quit but i have invested too much for me to just quit’ ~ If you’ve invested too much into something, then don't invest more in it. Don't make a bad situation worse. If you feel that you should quit, then you should. Trust yourself. You can always come back if you change your mind.
‘i feel like i need to achieve something and prove it to everyone that i am worthy’ ~ You shouldn’t play a game to prove your worth to anyone; you should play a game if you enjoy it, or if you make money from it. Your worth shouldn't be dictated nor impacted by others.

When you have will you will have way. If you study hard now, even when it is so hard and you get no rest, you will get what you deserved(in a good way). For me, I study hours of chess even when I'm in school. Sometimes you don't need that much rest. But if you can't take it its fine.

Maybe try to create a chess club in your school and to help your friends to learn chess ?
But quitting chess when you seem to enjoy the game isn't a great option, you can take a break or dedicate less time to it. It's also possible that chess has nothing to do with your school results, so don't rush into quitting and communicate about it with different people in real life, like your parents, friends, or teachers.
If you manage your time well between studies and chess, i think that everything will work !

OP delete your account today nothing useful ever comes from chess, if you were gonna make it, you would have made it before now (to quote Marcellus Wallace from Pulp Fiction)

I think if you are getting overwhelmed with chess and studies put studies first. Studies will impact you heavily later in life. Maybe, once your exams or university or whatever it is that you are getting overwhelmed by, you can restart playing chess again. If you get too bored, maybe set out a timetable where you might play chess for like 30-40 mins a day by playing in the gaps of your studies, or whenever you want a break.
(yes this is soo weird; giving advice as a elementary-schooler but I think this is some good advice(?). I mean if you dont want to then don't but yeah)
maybe take up a different hobby that suits you, which may be takes less time in your daily schedule. try n fit it in ur current existing time table
