What I mainly remember about 8-tracks was that CLICK that they would sometimes make when changing tracks (right in the middle of a song!). Oh yeah, and that you wouldn't get the lyrics sheet (or any of the other packaging that came with records).

Motivation for me not to accidentally crossover into North Korea on my hiking. They probably broadcast this to visa detainees.
