8/9/25 - A few (super-quick) positives from today so far: i'm alive and really great relatively, and healthy (!), thanks be to our Lord; i don't have man-lit wildfires burning down my neighbor's house, amen; and! to top this off! A young man does exemplary, tenacious, savvy work nearby me and doesn't boast but leads me to a glass of water!

I am grateful for my new apartment (well, it's not new anymore, but it is where I will stay until some unforeseeable time in the future...). It is great to live here. I am also grateful for living in my city. It has a good transit system, and some nice taxi drivers (should I need them). I am also grateful for my friends, some of whom live in this city (many live in other parts of the country, and some live in other countries).
