No.
#1 Yes! That's possible. Once, I closed my account and when I re-opened it, there was a friend's msg in my inbox ( and a few others too) which said : "Why did u close your account ?"... You may find it stupid, like why would someone DM a closed account. Even I didn't understand the point. (Probably cz he expected me to reopen it) .But anyway, I'm pretty sure that the msg will be delivered and in case he re-opens the account, he'll be able to read it too.
@Only_Choice, your firends cant click on the inbox button beside your profile but they can message your closed account through lichess.org/inbox/Only_Choice
@AnonymousChessKing Yes. Also, if I am present as an existing conversation in the inbox, you don't have to use the link to my inbox.
@Only_Choice , hey how is it possible to open a account which was closed ?
@Ganika, closed account can be reopened from lichess.org/account/reopen
@Ganika If u try to login using the username and password of the closed account, lichess will redirect the page to lichess.org/account/reopen and you'll be able to see somethin' like this on your screen.
i never knew , I only knew that we could sign out and in .
@AnonymousChessKing Have a look at this page https://lichess.org/account/close . it says
Close account
Are you sure you want to close your account? Closing your account is a permanent decision. You will NEVER be able to log in EVER AGAIN.
You will not be allowed to open a new account with the same name, even if the case is different.
