I feel like Hacktoberfest would be great to grow the Lichess website, as it would draw attention of many programmers on GitHub who are looking to contribute to open-source projects while earning rewards for themselves.
For those who don't know what Hacktoberfest is, it's an annual event in October where programmers contribute to projects under the topic "hacktoberfest" on GitHub. They submit pull requests, and if they get merged, they get 1 pull request towards their goal of 4 pull requests where they will get rewards that change every year (usually t-shirts).
So, I think that if Lichess joins Hacktoberfest, it will be a good opportunity for Lichess to see many potential improvements.
