Is it just me or is this a bit of a privacy-intrusive social experiment that gets us to ask silly questions so that the OP can learn from everything we say and so that he/she can start to subtly take notes of us and piece together some sort of character profile of us and keep tabs on us? ;)

Is it just me or is it all one-sided?
The OP is asking us to say “Is it just me or...” questions. Everyone has asked some questions of their own which are interesting and good in their own right. No one takes offence. So yet when I say this as a joke with the “;)” to show that I’m joking all of a sudden everyone is so emotionally distressed that they gang up on me and give me horseys and a quizzical emoji?
You people need to chill out and relax. If I was being serious with the previous comment I wouldn’t have put anything. I would’ve just ignored this forum and not been part of the social experiment. But because it was a joke and I was not serious I entered and now look what happens.
Is it just me or have you ever wondered why eggs don't taste like chicken ?
