While walking down the street, you don't go out of your way to step on dog 'chocolate'. So why even interact or respond at all to unpleasant people? I don't disagree with you, many times, it's simply not worth it.

That said...

People are not unpleasant for no reason; perhaps their lived experience has lead them to be bitter and resentful and so to act out the way they do; perhaps they've not been as fortunate as yourself, have had a poor upbringing, bad parenting, abuse, etc. I suspect for the most part, bullies are deeply unhappy people. If there's a way of responding to them that will make them reflect on the reasons for their bullying, and lead to positive long term change, such that they feel better about themselves and interact with others in a more positive way; then everyone's a winner.

That's an ideal of course, and it's worth pointing out that not everyone is open to, or capable of, or ready to change; and we also have to be wary that we're not opening ourselves up to harm in the process.

@MrPushwood Why are they all laughing at the answer? I don't know what's funny with it!

@Imbluee

It's describing the way people react really.

Don't you laugh if you see what's going on in the world? And how humans react to the really important problems, mostly with "I cannot change it" "I'm to weak" in variations?

@Neustart I also find it very sad. But I doubt if this is really true: "I can't change it"? For me it's giving up before even trying.
