I believe your dad is completely correct about the word "forum," @richniftyrabbit .

I was about to answer and write, myself: " 4 um" and then I noticed your dad had already said that, according to one of your posts.

As far as the other word, it's: "pruh - NOWnss" although in some regions they'll make a more definite "oh" sound at the beginning, and say it "proh - NOWnss."

Either way should be fine around native English speakers.

I've always said it "PRAH-no-uhn-kay" myself.

Four syllables are not required!

Two are all that are desired.

Say first one, and then the other.

Four are just not needed, brother.

(And if a brother you not be,

Then, sorry, sister, forgive me!)

My good sir, are your flaps broke?
Surely you realize this was just a joke!

(And if a brother you not be,

Then, sorry, sister, forgive me!)

Listen now and take heed:
For apologies there is no need.
For a brother I am, make no mistake,
So pour yourself a glass of sake.
Me you have not offended (pronounced "off-ehn-DEED").

My flaps aren't broke,

'cause they don't be!

That's why I'm called "No" Flaps,

you see?

But I commend your sense of humor!

I hereby declare you an honorary Boomer!

And that is purely a compliment

since your response was excellent!

This forum has turned

Into a pot of jokes being churned

Let the fun continue

Let’s do a little jujitsu

And eat some honeydew

For this place is for rhymes

Not for crimes!

@MangoHorsEy , well played!

Your name combines two of life's best things:

mango and horsey.

There are other good things, too, of course.

Like being an honorary Boomer.

Or being faintly alike, in any respect, to Jimmy Carr or Liverpool football.
