You have to make him/her lose in a game

I think if they just like your team and find it nice and friendly and you don't ask those you don't know and only once who you are friends with then it might work.
And accept a no. Do not ask after receiving an answer.
I don't THINK they care more about strength of the team than the members personality(Just a guess)
My thoughts.
(Expecting many dislikes)

What I would recommend doing is to try to not ask directly, but maybe ask humbly later after a conversation. Don't expect them to always join, since they will only consider the offer.

For me when someone asks me to join their team, I just take them directly to Walmart's customer service line, unless they are asking politely, I'll consider it and put the Walmart support team on hold :p

@WallaceTwo.
Agreed.
Saying for example "Join my team (Link inserted) PLZ" is a terrible way of asking.
Better is to ask like "you are welcome to join a team I am part of or just check it out if you want to" and see if they want the link.

@shadow1414 Yep. I usually treat them like spam calls, I can understand that they're making an effort to get others into forming a brand new community, but there's no meaning in the word "community" if they aren't interested.

@shadow1414 You are absolutely right. Also, don't message random titled players or ones that you know will not join or do not reply to messages (Ex. Magnus)

Bruh, titled players join tournaments without being defeated.

there is a drawback ive found in regards to titled players joining teams , not on this site but perhaps its the same issue
the teams overall ave grade goes up meaning they face tougher opposition , if the titled player doesnt play then they go into tougher matches with the least cance of getting a win
if its the same on this site then perhaps you should think twice before asking titled players to join your team
