How to enable the BOT tag on an account? • page 1/1 • Off-Topic Discussion • lichess.org

I want to hook up a simple chess AI I wrote to a Lichess account. The account was only created for the AI so it will never play any human games. Now I want to get the BOT tag I have seen on other accounts (i.e. this one: https://lichess.org/@/TeamChelsie) because I want to avoid confusion and of course wouldn't want the AI to get banned.

I couldn't find anything in the settings (looked specifically at the API token part) so my question is whether anyone can activate the tag or if I need to apply for it?

I looked and the websites to get a bot tag all say application error

Never mind this part in the API reference explains how to do it: https://lichess.org/api#operation/botAccountUpgrade
