How Many Members Lichess Has?

As impressive as that sounds, I assume that is the total number of accounts, which in itself is a pretty meaningless number. A lot of accounts are inactive, a lot of people have duplicate accounts etc. What is more interesting to me is the number of active accounts, perhaps those who logged in within the last month, or 3 months, or half a year. Then comparing that number to the past years. The total number of accounts will always keep getting bigger even if the active user base is getting smaller (which luckily it's currently not)

It appears to be exponential ...

Can you guess how many of those 7,814,226 accounts are duplicates or unactive?

If the avg active person spends 30 minutes here, and the avg number of online players is 50k, that gives 2.4 million "active" users.
