  1. 3.1415. And the 5 is rounded to 6.
Unless you are the tiny subset of people who actually need to know more, knowing more is as useful as the knight + bishop mate. Totally useless garbage, not even good enough to brag about it.

yes yes i know it is completely useless, even NASA engineers dont use more than 14 or so digits. But it is a good way to spend some time, and once you know a few, you will feel good!!
yes if you dont know more than like 3.141 thats absolutely fine and i dont blame you at all. i was just asking.

P.S. many people say knight+bishop mate is useless however once you face it in a real game you would wish to know how to checkmate with them. once the LITERAL WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPION didn't know how to play it, so she drew her game by 50 move repetition. try and learn the knight+bishop mate if you can, i couldn't, but maybe i can next time!!

I have played over 13,000 games in my life.
The only 2 times that said ending happened, I forced it to practice it.

That ending is virtually mythical. Most players will never have it once. If it happens, a draw is OK.

I try & fail> review the tutorial> then repeat - never get it
. What is so hard to understand about pushing one guy into a corner
with king, knight & bishop? Is a mystery? or lack of concentration?

You dont have to understand much. Only that you need to mate the opponent in a corner of the same color than your bishop.
The opponent, if smart, will run to the opposite corner. There is a method, you dont need to think too much. You just need to understand the method.

But its a waste of time. Better use your time learning a common end game.
Using the same amount of time, If you learn that common endgame instead of this useless mate, I assure you, you will win hundreds of games. If you study the useless one, just 1 in your lifetime if you have an irrational cosmic level of unlucky to get it (and that is IF you didnt forget how to), else, 0.

Thats why people dont improve on chess. They waste their time studying useless stuff that are super specific and arent practical at all, then complain they dont improve.

Okay, yes, now I see there is only infinitesimal practical value all things considered.
Now emotionally letting go of the failure...should it yet irk me? Btw I have afantasia and never visualise any positions in mind.
