How many assassination attempts needed before Democrats stop fearmongering?

@InkyDarkBird , we should strive for the LEAST possible corruption even if we can't guarantee an utter lack of it. We can't just throw up our hands and say "well, corruption can't be eliminated entirely, so let's not worry about trying to minimize it" (or words to that effect).

And you can tell yourself that I'm being played if you wish. But I understand and can explain, in detail, the workings of the current system.

And, even more dependably, I'm not shouting "threat to democracy" over and over even while arguing for or applauding a proposed departure from current law or from actual voting primary results -- or for the acceptance of provably incorrect claims that can easily be debunked merely by looking at ALL of the language ACTUALLY spoken by the one against whom the claim is marketed.

I could go on. But I don't wish to be any more political than I need to be in response to what I see stated by others. Indeed, if I didn't have to offer a contrary point of view in the face of other posts, I'd prefer not to discuss politics at all. It rarely changes minds or preconceptions anyway.

But too many sit on their own thoughts and words, afraid to be unfashionable. History has shown us that silence in the face of bad ideas can produce bad results eventually.

Ah, the emoji response yet again! Well, thank you -- at least it's a response!

I'm curious: what part, if any, of "we should strive for the LEAST possible corruption even if we can't guarantee an utter lack of it" requires a "thumbs down" ?

I've engaged in no fallacy, except perhaps any faint speculation that I might cause even one mind to change or to slow down and ponder beyond popular preconception.
