I am not pretty nor a girl but I am NOT a macho man. Among my many struggles are watching and reading about how women are and were treated. I hope that now you wonderful lot are treated much better :) actually... is there still people who treat ladies as lessers?

you’re next :)
Yes, there surely are people who do that. In some parts of my country, they believe you can't touch a woman when she is on her period (it's "unclean"). Whereas, it's their minds which are unclean. I haven't gone thru this but many woman in our country face this:(

Anyways,

oh i'm so sorry.. well, idk what to say :/ i think posted 90% of my problem in the other girl's problem forum.
but one think i'd like to say is that indian education system since many years has been only focusing on 'educating' students. they dont give them the actual knowledge.
for example, my father got transferred to many places. that includes mumbai. and i feel ashamed to tell you that the teachers in those schools couldn't talk about this stuff openly, they treated us girls with some next level partiality. though they taught us well, they did hamper our mental health in some way or the other. sigh. can't do anything about indians. i mean at this point i don't even hesitate to list out ALL the problems of our country :((

I mean yeahhh... India has always been a country where women aren't given equal amount of respect as men. In reality, the conditions are improving hella fast, BUT, in the end, it's still the same. You can't talk about any woman's bodily functions, Having a girl child is looked down upon ( tho, in some parts of the country ) and even having a divorce is shameful. Ngl, I haven't experienced such things personally cuz I have a VERYY supporting family but I do listen and understand things happening around me.

For example - My mother told me that when I was born, sweets were distributed in the neighbourhood ( common in India ), so some ppl said that there's nothing to be happy about it and that I was just a girl!
