If I were a novelist, I would probably resort to write Grimm's Fairy Tales again.

I probably could be a writer-- I've been told that I'm witty and eloquent-- but I don't consume enough alcohol to make it worthwhile.
To those people downvoting this post: I appreciate the vote of confidence, but why are you questioning my ability to imbibe? I have a bad pancreas and an insanely high alcohol tolerance, which means I'd die before I get drunk. Most successful writers do it the other way around.
no and no.
Part of my job is writing [7 technical books and 200 scientific papers]. it is hard work to write OK and extremely hard to write well, especially fast enough to make a living at it. It would also take me years I dont have anymore to learn the skills needed to write fiction.
And, a big part of 'novelist' is self-promotion and book-promotion. I would detest having to do that stuff.
So no and no. -Bill
