I've heard of some Finland metal concerts for years. Who are there bands?

I think the most widely known are Stratovarius and Children of Bodom. Amazing guitar playing by Timo Tolkki and the late Alexi Laiho.

Most well known are probably Nightwish and Apocalyptica.
Also Wintersun got a banger debut and Korpiklaani as honorable mention.

This is not a jab but it's always interesting to me what people consider metal. Like Zeppelin for example. To me it's hard/classic rock. Heavy metal definitely muddies the water a bit but I would never say LZ is metal.
I think it was Nik Nocturnal who had a video about what even is modern rock or sth. and the conclusion was that the only connecting thing was electric guitar.
I think there is even bigger disconnect in my mind as I rarely listen to modern heavy/power metal which keeps the clean vocals and classic riffs so I mostly go from (hard) rock straight to more aggressive metal.
My favorite metal album is probably SYL - The New Black
Rush is considered metal? what is metal then?

Also the second post video, at some point with the flying food, reminded me of some blues brothers movie scenes, but it was missing the safety metal grid curtain. That is all the associations I can make. The music not the same.. I recognized only a small segment of music as what I thought metal would be. And the comments were funny.

I have stopped listening to much music other than through occasional good TV or movies, with interesting music or reminders of what I once was listening too. I did not keep up with most of the evolution of music styles. So the naming might have drifted in meaning without me noticing. Not a heavy metal fan for too long, cortisol and doomsday atmosphere ensues too easily. Maybe I am fragile that way. I like when it does not take itself seriously, which is rather rare.

Is primus metal? it has metal string guitars. i am sure. haven't hear in a while. just would recon its sound pretty fast. Sailing the sees of cheese, also echoes, just the words, those were not earworms tunes... But their constructions patterns were noticeable. Not the usual. I think it was humorous without a video sketch on it. sorry it off the off topic.

Critical mass, should be a band name, maybe.
