You donate to support the site. I donate because I can afford it and I want it to continue. If you don't like the site, consider going away. 80,000 simultaneous players won't even notice you're gone. All the whiners (all technically ignorant, believing it's easy running this site) are never patrons.
OP you seem to have a valid problem but I request that you reconsider your choice of words and tone. This website is run by volunteers who only want to provide a lovely, free chess experience for us. I request, respectfully, that you reconsider.
