I like to stay anonymous. I thought lichess does not fingerprint you or track the IP addresses. But lichess does so. To prevent this I enabled my anti fingerprinting add-on (blocks canvas/WebGL fingerprinting and so on) and connected through the Tor-Network.
Yes TOR detection is easy!!! The about 8000 end-node ips are public!! But why does lichess block singing up via Tor. But they DON'T block logging in via tor. So they always have a fingerprint of one machine.
That means I have to connect to a proxy create an account and then connect via TOR???? In that case lichess doesn't have a fingerprint. But why not just allowing direct sing up via TOR. If you can easily workaround this??

If you allow using TOR network there will be big number of cheaters who register new account every time they get banned.

I am CUREENTLY using the TOR-Network :)
I can still login via TOR but to sign up a new account I need to connecto a proxy ike the free proxy addon "hoxx" (that cheaters also could use).
You also can use ngrok-network-tunnel (with a little trick) to get an nearly infinite amount of free proxies
Maybe lichess will block to many diffrent IPs/UserAgents: https://imgur.com/0nU7LxE

Lichess doesn't fingerprint you.
Lichess doesn't fingerprint you.
- Technical information.
If you are a registered user, your IP address and your user-agent linked to your profile. Lichess makes use of “fingerprinting” technology similar to https://github.com/Valve/fingerprintjs2. Furthermore, during a game, Lichess “counts” the number of times the game’s window loses focus (how many times you switch tabs/apps), “blurs”.

Yes, but that's not same as other sites fingerprints etc. Lichess does not sell the data.

I think you are right (but you dont know it 100%).
But the main question remains:
Why do I can't register on lichess using TOR. But if I already have an account I can log in with TOR.

@Yamni_Ista Fingerprinting and selling data are two entirely separate things.

@Yamni_Ista You state Lichess doesn't fingerprint when they state openly that they do. Then you conflate that with selling data, and when you're corrected about that you downvote them! Hilarious. If you don't know about something it's best to stay quiet, yeah?

They are not entirely separate things. I was teached a lesson, so there is no problem now. I know, what a Dunning–Kruger effect is, but thanks.
