Why can't I en passant in this game? Is this a bug?
I'm playing white. In move 15, when black played pawn f7 to f5, why did the website not allow me as white to play pawn g6 to f7? I'm still learning and sorry for the bad game. Below is my PGN

En passant rule is only possible if after black move pawn from line 7 to 5, your white pawn needs to be on line 5. In this game move 15/16 your pawn is already on line 6. so es passant is not allowed there. Its standard rule, not bug of course.

Because (in addition to the discussion above), en passant (French for "in passing") is a prepositional phrase; it is not something that can be done. It usually modifies 'capture'. You can use it as an adjective (I want to perform an en passant capture) or an adverb (I want to capture en passant), but not as a verb.
