Why are forum embedded studies (or any game tree) always figurine notation?

I have my profile preferences set to non figurine because either my vision, or my monitor does not display the icons of the figurine in a sufficiently visual discriminative way that latin font would have for me. they look small and fuzzy, and i have even a harder time to decrypt them than alphabetic SAN, where at least i can read the letter fast.

I suspect or hypothesize 2 or more things:

1a) for the same reason i can't use my own styling injection of forum embeds, lichess can't get inside the object within the text box that encapsulate the embedding thing. (iframe stuff).

1b) whether a is true or not, clearly my settings don't reach inside the embed.

  1. in order for not making a SAN English choice to favor English native ease of recognizing chess move "code" or SAN, figurine was deemed the international compromise.... or, figurine is the lichess internal default everywhere...

I wish to be wrong, and that lichess could make our preferences apply within embeds. after all, there are no real security issues from lichess to lichess, right? if that is the barrier against reaching inside the embed..

I could have just said I don't want figurine. they are a pain... or blow them up.. (they are anyway not maximizing recon at a glance like alphabet for alphabetic language natives does, long time cultural evolution there). even blowing them up, might not be good solution, they would cramp the information.

Old feedback issue of mine that got revived because i had to deal with studies in forum threads as extended discussion combination of lichess features, but then i need to keep back and forth to the study tab, because figurine does not parse.

I wish i could fix my vision. or my visual cortex.... or maybe increase my monitor DPI...

This is reminder feedback thread. no rush.. just still an issue for me.

When I view a game that's embedded in a forum post (for example, https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/what-happened-was-it-a-bug), I see letters, not figurines.

In my profile, I have "Move Notation" set to "Letter (K, Q, R, B, N)". Does your setting match?

But you talk about embedded studies, not embedded games. Can you point me to an example?

embeds used to be iframes... i could never get into them with stylus syntax at least not in lichess (i could within pdf preview chrome web page from lichess a while ago though, so i tried with lichess...).

i could inject in puzzles though.

i have not tried for 2 years such things. but the games have recently changed. do they use iframe.

possible request about that (should i make a thread about that?)
also could we control their display size or the inline format to see the whole list of moves and click on them at will to fastorward without having to go move by move.. (i like to compare far aways positions sometimes, or would like to do it more frequently without getting distracted by the in-between,) and i generally like smaller board for my whole position at a glance ease.. (i feel like i have less chances of blindspots if everything in my retina focus without having to look at any one piece). but that might be not a priority. just mentioning.
