Where to start understanding lichess source code?

Hello everyone,
I recently bought some scala learning books so I can learn to understand the lichess source code, because I wanted to contribute to lichess in a different way.

I am not a professional coder, but I was programming in C# for 8 years now and also know some advanced Python and Java and HTML basics. As I said, I am now starting to dive into scala. But lichess source code is so big I don’t understand where I should start reading it.

Could some dev or mod give me advice?
Thanks.

Is there some documentation for lichess dev starters?
