When did the mouse wheel stop working for navigating a game back and forth on Lichess web?

I can't use my mouse wheel anymore to go back and forth through the moves in a game. Is it just me or they disabled the feature? If it's the latter, why?

Check your settings: lichess.org/account/preferences/game-behavior#scrollOnTheBoardToReplayMoves
It's a yes, nothing happens.

Ok, it's a problem with Firefox. Now I have to understand when and why it stopped working, last time I used it it was ok.

I'm using Firefox too, and I can still scroll through a game using the wheel. Maybe your mouse is broken?

No, with another browser all is good. It's a Firefox problem. V. 133.0.3. I could have messed up some setting, but I can't think of anything specifically related to Lichess, scrolling is fine otherwise.

I use the same Firefox version (64-bit Windows), and I don't know any setting that would disable the mouse wheel on Lichess - the only such setting that I know of is in your Lichess preferences (which you said you checked).

Have you tried the standard actions (reloading the page, clearing cookies while logged out)?

For a start, you may create a new clean firefox profile, log into lichess there and try if it works.

Yes, default FF does work, and I see that it works fine now as opposed to how it didn't work sometimes ago, when one step of the mouse wheel on FF made Lichess scroll up and down all the moves at once without control. You had to do ctrl+wheel to make it scroll one move at a time. Then maybe I did something in the about:config options but I cant't really remember. And now I see that the problem in default FF is gone, and wheel scrolling works as it should, one move at a time, so I guess either FF introduced some change or Lichess did in the meanwhile, but now wheel scrolling doesn't work at all with my configuration.

I could erase everything and start from scratch with FF but for a number of reasons I would like to find the culprit in the settings, instead of reconfiguring everything all the way up to how I need it.

Found it! It's a Firefox extension for Logitech mouse. For some unfathomable reason it disables wheel scrolling for moves on the Lichess board. No problems of any kind anywhere else. Mistery. Anyway, problem solved.
