Web app offline mode?

Is there any way to use features of the PWA offline or plan to make it possible?

I mostly use the browser (desktop or mobile) for playing online or doing puzzles (and now forums I suppose). I recently discovered how to use the PWA on mobile, and it gives a nice interface. However, if I'm somewhere with no Internet or a spotty connection (like a train), I can use the mobile app to play otb or follow a book using the analysis board. It'd be nice to only need the web app, and it seems apart from the opening book and table base (nice, but not essential) most of that stuff is already client side. However the PWA won't work unless it can connect to lichess. Is there any way to make that work?

No, there is no way to make it work right now. It is planned though.
