Warned getting banned for abortion of too many games

@Molurus in a real time game (say, 30+0), your clock time is 30 minutes. But you only get half a minute to play the first move on lichess. Then, your clock starts. Why make an exception for correspondence. And they have no problem deviating from FIDE rules, so this only seems logical to me.

That would bei an excellent option to solve the problem and as it's already introduced in Lichess it would bei accepted by players and it's consistent with other game modes.

I think you're missing my point. You have no legitimate reason to complain about people using their time. Not even on the first move. You just don't.

Well, you got it wrong. @Astrovinnie didn't complain about his/her opponent taking time to make a move. He/she complained about the warning he/she got for aborting games where even the first move is not being played for several days, which is not very pleasant.

There is no rule that says he should actively spend that time thinking about activities in your game. He's well within his rights to do the laundry during that time, and you would still not be allowed to abort such games.

So, is he/she harsh for complaining about the warnings? He/she just suggested a rule to be added/changed by mentioning his/her problem, which is very practical. This forum section is just to mention problems and suggests features, which has nothing wrong in it.

That's just you disagreeing with the rules because you're annoyed. The rules are what they are, and I haven't seen a good reason to change them.

If you are right, then there is no point in the 'lichess feedback' section of the forum.

For the simple reason that correspondence doesn't work with a total time for a game. You get time per move only. And I see no reason to make an exception for the first move.

You might as well argue you shouldn't be thinking about white's 6th move in Najdorf. Where does it stop?

Whatever you say. People getting insulting in first answer have always the most valuable opinion....

Acting insulted certainly never is an argument for anything. It nearly always means people don't have a solid grasp of the content.

It would be if correspondence was based on a total time for the entire game. But it's not.

He's basically trying to blame his opponents for something he's doing wrong. I really didn't get that wrong. That's factually what is happening here.
