Is it possible to change time clock position to the left hand side ? I must have timed out a 1000 times because my right hand was hovering over the time clock !

No , It's not possible to do so . You can do changes in timer like 1) Tenths of seconds , 2) Horizontal green progress bars , 3) Sound when time gets critical , 4) Give more time . These all function's you will get here - https://lichess.org/account/preferences/chess-clock .

But if you want to get you're clock left hand side , You can raise an issue on GitHub about this from here - https://github.com/lichess-org/lila/issues .
