Hello there,
I have a feedback concerning the site where my rating is compared to that of other players, namely this one: https://lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/blitz
and all the comparable sites.
apparently, I'm better than 74.8% of all Blitz players. However, the yellow graph suggests instead that I'm not even better than 72% of all Blitz players. Hence, one of the statistics must be off. Please fix the issue, and thanks for this great website, which teaches me chess.

One probably updates more frequently, or at least more recently, than the other.

But the numerical value is ALWAYS larger.

Maybe one of them is only the players who played in the last week while the other value is all time.

Could some developer perhaps fix this issue?

Your profile page says 72.4%, not 74.8%.

Yes, since I've played a few games since. @Toadofsky

Ah, by "the yellow graph" you're talking about the cumulative line? I think that only indicates active players, whereas your overall rank is based on all players?

@Toadofsky I don't know, it doesn't say so on the page, and both are in the same graph. But it could be the mistake.

I'd venture to say there is nothing wrong. The yellow graph shows the overrall amount of players who are rated "x" or less. If your rating is, for example, 2000 then the yellow graph will indicate that, say, 90% of all players who use Lichess are rated between 0 and 2000 and only 10% have a higher rating. That said, when the statistics reads you are "better" than a given percentage of players, it's not just a matter of rating as there may be players who share your very same rating but have reached it in a higher/lower number of games, so, I think , in order to assess how good you are, the statistics also takes the percentage of victories/defeats into account. I hope I've found a reasonable answer to your doubt.
