Study moves not getting saved from mobile app

On the web app, if I go in a study and make moves, they automatically get saved to the backend. But on the Android app, while the moves do get tracked while I'm on the chapter, all changes are lost when I leave the chapter (e.g. go to another chapter and come back).

Is this expected? Is there an explicit action needed to save the changes? I couldn't find one. Thanks!

Actually similar things have happened to me. When I close the app and come back to it later, all the moves are gone.

I've eventually just gotten too frustrated from repeatedly losing work and I only use Chessbase for the purposes of those studies now.
