I guess you're being sarcastic. Fide Online Arena is plenty of Indian players. The lag issue is even worst.

As for ICC and FICS ... they were working well, some years ago. So they did well in the past.

However, you've missed a very good server (perhaps you don't know it), https://play.chessbase.com/en. So much better than Lichess in every single aspect, except for the number of available players. The pool is oscillating between 1.5K & 2K. And yes, you can play for free o buy a premium membership. And guess what? You can ban for yourself the slow Internet users!! Wow, did you see it? It's not that difficult and unfair, it's just a way to reward membership users over free users (and with poor Internet).
