Deleting the team battle links from the team pages wasn't´t cool. The captains, the tournament directors and also the players have to invest much more time to share all the information because of the update. Please go back to the last version!

@thibault How about also displaying it if >= 1 member of the team joined? This should solve the issue of "sections".

@redbullet64 How to get >= 1 member, if it doesn't show up before? This equals to same as the leader has to join, as discussed before. It would be dependent again on a team captain, who already has a lot of work anyway.

@jeffforever for team battles, it's a reasonable compromise - get one person to join, and it's locked in at the top of the page. To let members know, use the "group message" feature as @thibault indicated.

Group message to all requires activity of team captain all the time - which is not possible. Especially if you have many activities, you have to send these messages all the time. I think the solution suggested by Ensemo makes a lot of sense - team captain should be able to un-display a team battle. Default option should be to have all team battles visible to everyone - the lack of communication/info is big here.

I Am Yana Soldatova. I am the team captain. Every Sunday we hold tournaments between teams of children from our region. My dad and coaches from other clubs organized such tournaments.
There is a clear schedule of tournaments: children born in 2009 and younger (3 leagues of 10 teams) play at 11: 00. At 15:00 children born in 2012 and younger (2 leagues of 10 teams) play. At 18:00, children born in 2005 and younger (2 leagues of 10 teams) play. Only about 500 children.
There is a rule that the three worst teams go down and the three best teams go up. The list of commands is clear. My dad and the coach check the new teams and explain the rules to them. I am the administrator of leagues for children born in 2009 and younger (I was born in 2009, I know most of the competitors by sight). Before, it was clear to me and other children how to find a tournament and participate in it. Although the coach spent a lot of time trying to explain to parents how to register in lichess, how to join the team and start participating in tournaments. But over time, everyone learned and further administration of all leagues of my age was performed by me without problems, without the participation of adults (but under my dad and coaches). And children were finally able to enter tournaments on their own, which was a great joy for parents. Parents simply admired the game of their children and enjoyed the results. Or went about their business in the kitchen.
With the changes, things got bad. I don't have any means of communication with my children's parents (I don't know their phone numbers, and if I write or call them, it will take all day). My phone is the simplest (push-button), so I don't have group chats. For me a means of communication for liches. Coaches display links to tournaments in VK, but not everyone is able to click on the links. It is very rare for children to have their own page there. And all my independence went to the bottom.
As a result, our team has to play in three tournaments on Sunday (2009, 2012, 2005). So that they are all displayed, I entered all three tournaments. But I was immediately overcome - why did I enter the 2012 tournament? I have no right to participate there!
Therefore, you need to make it possible to display in the club any team tournament that is interesting to your team. After I found the tournament, I must click some button on its page ("Display in the club") and this tournament should be displayed in the list of tournaments of our club. The same applies to the history of tournaments. I don't participate in all tournaments, but if our team players played in a team battle, then this tournament should be displayed there.
And more. Many children don't have a computer. They play with their parents ' phone. There is trouble here, too. It turns out that the lichess app doesn't have a "Teams"tab. And it's not clear why. This also causes them difficulties. Since they just play chess through the app, and to participate in team battles, they open tournaments using links in the browser. And this raises a flurry of questions. It would be much more convenient when you click a link to launch the app immediately. And if this is not difficult for You, please add the "Teams"tab to the standard app phone.
Thank you very much!

I agree with previous posts, that the new solution causes trouble and extra work for team captains with many teams, and organizers of rating restricted tournaments or junior tournaments.
Additionally the new solution lead to a lot of confusion within the community, as previously listed tournaments just disappeared from the page.

I also would like to double Yana_Soldatovas request, to please add the teams tab to the Lichess App, as this has been a problem observed by several of our users.

Dear friends,
I am the team captain of SV Werder Bremen, i have to agree with Jeffforever 100%. As a chess coach these are very busy days and I am not always able to check in for the newest tournaments. So please go back to the old version.
Thank you very much!
