Setting "Multiple lines"

My lament is just an irritation, not a calamity, but if anyone can suggest a solution I'd be very appreciative.

After I play a game against the Lichess computer (1170 games so far, according to my profile), I always study each move to see how I could have played better.

My way of doing that, maybe not the best, is to turn on the arrows under "Computer Analysis" and set "Multiple lines" to 3/5. That results in three arrows, two thinner ones for adequate moves and one thick one for the best move. (How great it would be if there were an explanation for why that best move is best, but that's expecting too much.)

Setting "Multiple lines" to 3/5 takes almost a half dozen mouse clicks, each and every time I use it.

  1. Click on Menu.
  2. Click on the slider bar and drag down to see "Multiple lines."
  3. Will see "Multiple lines" already set to 3/5 but it doesn't matter, we will not see arrows until the slider is set to 3/5 again. So I click off of 3/5 (to, say, 4/5),
  4. then click back to 3/5 again.
  5. Then click on the green menu button to close the menu options.

Is this a problem with just my computer, as in cookies not being set? If so, how do I fix it? Or is this scenario what everyone encounters?

Ideally (if Lichess engineers are reading this), there would be a button labeled something like Post-Game Analysis. Clicking on it would enable the arrows, set to where they were (like 3/5) the last time I used them. Only when wanting to change (as to 4/5) would one have to go through all the mouse clicks.

Thanks for all help.

I set mine to 3/5 a long time ago, and it's been there ever since.

I know some settings are stored as cookies, but I don't remember specifics.

Thanks, mcgoves, for "I set mine to 3/5 a long time ago, and it's been there ever since." Tells me the problem is on my end, not Lichess's.

My regular browser is Opera. Just tried Firefox, but same symptoms.

Having trouble finding all the cookies to delete only the Lichess ones. A little more googling....

Firefox (and probably all browsers) has a setting to delete all cookies whenever it is closed. Make sure that isn't set.
