I understand that some people are sorry to lose their rating, but in the end Lichess remains largely a platform for learning and not for collecting "points". I absolutely agree that the rating makes it more fun, but that it matters so much?
What a desperate attempt by chess com to kill the competition.

Well. Lichess' people can't say yes or no to the points refund question but they can warn me for asking. Good!
The entire server became unresponsive, thousands of people were no longer able to play, and you still think this is about you. Wow.

DDoS Kill The competition
bruh
Thank you
I want to be informed when the bug is fixed
It is understandable to feel frustrated about losing rating points, but many others also experienced this problem(I did too). I also agree with many people above that talked about how your strength determines your rating, not the other way around, so I think that many people that experienced this problem will quickly gain back their rating points. This is also a free website and is only supported by donations and volunteers, so they are doing their best. They worked very hard to resolve this and it is fixed now, so we should be grateful for how generous Lichess has been to be able to provide this free and fun chess website!
I hope this is helpful.
