I was seeking for a 800-1400, and it ended up being 800-1800. How does that make sense, given that I'm 2200?

À bon entendeur anyway, si tu veux penser que je me trompe pis tu décides de pas me croire, fine. Mais c'est sérieusement arrogant penser que tout est parfait quand il y a une vidéo qui démontre le contraire, pis qu'on se donne même pas la peine 30 secondes d'essayer de comprendre le problème. C'est vraiment n'importe quoi.

that's not even what the site does though, the video showed he played against a 1737 player while being 2201, and 2201 - 1737 = 464 > 400... and 1737 was also NOT in the selected range. There's obviously something wrong somewhere.

However, @Patrizsche when you select a rating range, you can say "I want people in between 1801 and 2601", because to change the rating range it only increases/decreases by 50 each time.

@seigneur My "at most" referred to the rating differential, not to the max rating. Max rating >= 1800.

Please make an effort to understand.

The website does not prevent people of any rating from joining your game.

It prevents you from requiring that your opponent is rated less than 400 points under you.

You are 2200. You cannot demand that your opponent rating is under 1800. You cannot demand that your opponent rating is above 2600.

You cannot snipe players outside your rating range. They can still join; but you cannot limit your games to them.

@thibault so if your 2200 and you set the range from 800-1000 you can play anyone rated between 800 and 2600?

Sorry this is really confusing for me. Does that mean your challenge automatically is sent to anyone +- 400?
