Hi,
A lot of times these days when I "Request Computer Analysis" in a study (usually a game I played), nothing happens (you just get the animated knight spinny thing).
It works sometimes, but very inconsistently.
Is there a reason, or is it just me?
Thanks,
GG

Sometimes it can take longer, depending on how many analyses are requested at the time.

Thanks, but it's not that it takes longer, but it doesn't work at all. I can leave it running for 15 minutes or more with no response.

The important question is if the analysis finishes eventually. Sometimes (part of) the problem is also on the local side and reloading the page after few minutes shows completed analysis (but the page doesn't get updated on its own).

Yeah, it doesn't finish at all, unfortunately!

It’s not just you. I have noticed this happening to me recently as well. I have done analysis for years and it’s never happened before. The analysis does NOT finish, it’s not a local issue (refreshing the page does not help).

Seems like it’s been happening to other users as well, so definitely a lichess issue: https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/analysis-stuck

So it means that it is not every time ...
The most likely explanation is that your request cannot be fulfilled: either there are too many users requesting or not enough machine available.
